Aqua Nest Pot

A few months ago I made this darling little nest decor...thingy. I have no idea what to call it so I will just refer to it as an Aqua Nest Pot.

While browsing my local thrift store I found a stack of these mini pots (8) for $.60. In that same week A.C. Moore was having a hug sidewalk sale so I grabbed all the nests they had. I think it was something like 18 or 19. I only paid 3.80 for all the nests. They also had a ton of little bags with eggs on clearance as well. I grabbed 20 bags and paid 2.40 for those. For $7 I got a ton of fun goodies!

I decided to make this little pretty to sit on my desk in my craft room. It makes me happy every time I look at it.

Repurposing an old frame

I found this cute-ish picture frame at the thrift store a few months ago and spray painted the frame black. For a while it just held the "art" it came with. It kind of went with my country motif so it worked for a little while. BUT, I have been so antsy to change some decor. I wanted to think of ways to do that WITHOUT spending any money.

Yesterday afternoon (during that blissful hour known as "NAP TIME") I grabbed some items out of my craft room and started re-purposing that old frame!


I love it! And it was so quick and easy to do. I changed out the nest because I think the original one I picked was a little too big.
