Philippians 4:6-7

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. (NLT)

6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (NIV)

This scripture keeps coming back to me over and over every time I think about the elections. Not that I am worried about it, because I keep my faith and trust in Christ. But I am very concerned about our country and the type of country my children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren will grow up in. But because of those worries, I am constantly in prayer for this nation. I not only am concerned for my children but for yours as well. I want to see a Holy nation rise up and Glorify Christ! It is so important that we set our heart on Christ and be steadfast in prayer for our nation. We must guard our hearts, mind, and eyes from the things that will try to stop us from seeking His face daily! We must rise up strong against the enemy! he would like nothing more than to see this nation in ruins. After all, we were in his charge before he fell. And because of that, there is a constant battle for our souls. We must be persistent in Prayer and Supplication-Petition for this country!

The Scent of Fall...

and Caramel Apples are in the air!

With the new season here, it's time for new afternoon snacks. And what better snack than (mini) caramel apples?!

These are perfect for snacks (and less junk in the tummy too).

Here is a step-by-step guide to get you started on your own scrumptious snack!

1. Using your melon baller, scoop out apple balls and pat them dry. Be sure to have skin on a part of the apple as that will act as the bottom. Insert your toothpick and pat again to clean up any juice that may have come out.

2. Prepare your caramel as instructions require. (Set out your toppings so they are ready to go). Now dip your apples and cover them as much as you desire.

3. Immediately dip your caramel apple into the topping of your choice.
4. Arrange them to take pretty pictures. Then place in the fridge for about 1/2 an hour so the caramel will set.

5. Eat and enjoy! (there was so much enjoying I forgot to take a picture of that!) :-)
