99 Bottles of...

(***Don't miss my giveaway-check it out!***)

Ok well not bottles. But Posts? Ya, we have 99 of those! :-D So, tomorrow I will be unveiling a *HUGE* giveaway to celebrate my 100th post! Tell everyone you know to check it out. This will be a big one!

On to more important matters at hand. Pretty Organizer and The Shabby Nest are hosting a Mr. Linky party today. The theme: Taming Toy Clutter! How exciting! I can always use help in this area (well, all organizing areas come to think of it...)

Today I will be featuring a sweet little something I have added to my son's room. We (the hubs I mean) refinished a desk and his great grandfather made the top for it. It looks great, and the boy really enjoys spending time sitting there and "creating". His newest favorite thing is "creating" with Legos. He has two favorites that require little pieces. I wanted to make them easily accessible to him but contain the mess to one area.

Here they are hung next to his desk for easy access. I adore these buckets. I purchased them on clearance from Pier 1 at the end of summer. I only paid $1.79 they were originally $9.99 I think. I purchased two red ones as well. I will be putting his pens and colored pencils in those. They will hang on the other side of his desk.

His desk has many uses. When we were working on it, he had his big plans already set and ready to go. "When I get my desk in my room, I'm going to build a science lab!" Then he saw the Bill Nye Paper Recycling Factory and got that for Christmas "Now I have a science lab and a paper recycling factory in my room!" He has an obsession with factories!! *note: his favorite show is 'how it's made', or anything on the science channel*

Goggles with white straps and Legos with cars... these are a few of his favorite things... yup, stuck in your head now too huh?! :-) (humor me people-we all know I am dork!)He also has a test tube set but I haven't plucked up the courage to allow that to sit on his desk. It is made of glass after all.

So the final word? Basket and buckets and photo boxes Oh! My! er, I mean, Are good! at hiding clutter and containing it to one area. Be sure to check out the linky party and don't forget to link up with YOUR ideas!! Can't wait to see 'em...  :)

Great ideas, as always. I had to laugh at the microscope on the desk. I still have the one just like it I got about 45 years ago!!
