Dried Hydrangeas

I love this little vignette in our bedroom.

The mirror was a thrift find, and I'm still deciding what color to paint it. I was beyond thrilled when I found it. The wreath was made using coffee filters

On the tray is my bird clock and an owl jewelry holder, where I keep my frequently worn earrings. Next to that is a stack of paper suitcases and my lovely owl, holding twigs and a nest.

Then there are my lovely dried hydrangeas. These are just so beautiful. I have a huge bush in my backyard that was here when we moved in and I can't wait to dry some. I think these may be my favorite flower. At least, this season they are.

What's your favorite flower?

Lace Necklace

I'm not really sure where the inspiration for this necklace came from other than seeing the lace in my stash and deciding to do something with it.

Besides, who doesn't love a hint of lace?

I love the way it turned out. It's soft, romantic, chic, and trendy. I think this looks super cute with a jeans/tee combo. Of course, you could wear this with just about anything.

NYC

Back in December I was blessed with a free trip to NYC for the weekend. My time there was awesome!

By about the 4th hour, I called my husband and told him I was ready to pack up and move. Seriously, I fell in love with the place.

I am a true city girl, but didn't realize it until I moved to Baltimore. I always thought I wanted to be surrounded by country, animals, and nothing.

I couldn't have been more wrong. I thrive in a city environment.

But, since we're not being called to NYC currently, I will continue to plan weekend trips for quick visits to one of my favorite places on earth.

A Glimpse

This gorgeous little red head keeps me on my toes these days.

She's full of wonder, adventure, and curiosity.

And her laugh lights up the room.

Soon she will be a big sister. And she will be perfect at it.
