Aqua Nest Pot

A few months ago I made this darling little nest decor...thingy. I have no idea what to call it so I will just refer to it as an Aqua Nest Pot.

While browsing my local thrift store I found a stack of these mini pots (8) for $.60. In that same week A.C. Moore was having a hug sidewalk sale so I grabbed all the nests they had. I think it was something like 18 or 19. I only paid 3.80 for all the nests. They also had a ton of little bags with eggs on clearance as well. I grabbed 20 bags and paid 2.40 for those. For $7 I got a ton of fun goodies!

I decided to make this little pretty to sit on my desk in my craft room. It makes me happy every time I look at it.

My Easter Cards

I love the winter, I LOVE the snow. But, since we aren't expected to get any more (after our snowmaggeden earlier this month) I am definitely ready for spring. I think I am mostly excited about it's arrival because it's bringing with it a new fresh beginning.

We are moving next weekend and I can't wait. I am so excited. New beginnings and new changes.

When I saw these darling little cards in a local shop I simply could not resist! They were just calling out to me. And at .50 a piece, they made my wallet happy too. They make me very excited for Spring's arrival. But I am in no hurry for Winter to go completely away just yet.

So I am off to write my Easter Greetings.

Are you ready for Spring to make it's appearance?

Tip of The Day

Saving Eggs!

TIP: After separating eggs for a recipe, pour the remaining egg into an airtight container and freeze. To prevent the eggs from gelling add a pinch of salt for cooking or a heaping teaspoon of sugar for baking for every 4 yolks. Transfer the frozen egg to the refrigerator the day before using and let the egg parts thaw overnight.

When I discovered this trick, I was so thrilled. My "world" famous cake calls for four egg whites and I was always stumped on how to save the yolks. I hated throwing them out. Hope this tip is useful for you. Enjoy!! :-)
