She knows she's cute! :)

(I'm done-good night)

My Princess

I just LOVE having a little girl! Look at how cute she is!!!!

Been Busy

Around here! We have had a lot going on the last week so I haven't had much time to write. But I have been thinking about it!

So last week my Dad was in town from California (business trip). I miss my parents so much. This May they will have been gone for 1 yr already! I can't believe it. Of course the Children were Thrilled to see their Pap-Pap! He brought lots of tooth decaying goodies, and also took them on a shopping spree. Where you ask? The Greatest Place on Earth! Or, close to it, The Disney Store! Oh did they have fun picking out goodies there! I was a little sad I missed it!

Audrey picked out a Sleeping beauty set with dress up dolls. She calls prince charming "Prince Charlie". It's too cute! Here is a picture of her just loving Princess Aurora.
(the standard "smile" face)

Christian picked out some really neat little remote control cars from the movie Cars. (what a novel idea) :)

My dad left this past saturday and it was such a crazy day! He had to leave here around 1pm to make his flight and we had to leave around 2:30pm to make it on time to a wedding. So, long story short. My dad drops the rental car off and sees that Christian's booster seat is still in the back! We have 20min to make it the wedding on time. The airport is 20min away. My dad can't leave the seat at the airport so he rides back to the rental office to see if they will hold it for me to p/u. At this point we are all running pretty late. The wedding was at 2:30 and it was already 2:45pm. I am waiting to hear from him to see if they will hold it and he finally calls back. He missed his flight! I felt awful! But said not to blame myself, he also left his keyring on their keychain, he would have had to go back anyway. So we head to the wedding (incredibly late). But we had such a good time! Even Daddy got some dancing in.

So after our craziness things just got backed up and we had a lot of schoolwork to catch up on. We have very "spring-like" weather, with all the rain and grayness. But today we got a break! 74 and SO sunny! So we went out side and went on a nature scavanger hunt. It was fun, and the children LOVED being outdoors. Something about that Fresh spring air and sunshine, it does a body good!

Here are a few photos from our fun.

Wilding sticks and Bubbles:

Sandboxes and Nature bracelets

and of course, Chalk Board fun

And the last one (I promise) With Pap-Pap:
(with potty-training-pants and all)
So, this has turned into the worlds longest blog. So sorry! :) yet, not really. Ok, so I am off to enjoy the rest of the day!

Potty Party

That is what we had this past Wednesday. My 2yr old daughter and 2yr old niece both know when they need a change, but they refuse to tell us when they need to go. They know when they need to go, but they would rather do it in their diaper, in their underwear, or all over the kitchen floor (and kitchen chairs and bedroom floor).
So, as an incentive, we decided (my SIL and I) to throw a Potty Party for the girls. We figured it would help give them some "sweet cousinly encouragement". They sat and played and pee'd and sat and played and pee'd. We tried EVERYTHING! We had them sit every 15minutes. They would sit for about 5-8 and then pee all over the floor in the bedroom. So we extended the sit time to about 10minutes. No success. So we decided to keep them on the potty until they pee'd. Then we got smarter and made them sit with their cups! Ha ha, look at us go! But, look at them not going! So we stuck a movie in front of them and let them have their party right on the potty! They pee'd! They pee'd alot! And they had special potty charts (which they just loved!)
I was able to get some really cute picture of the two of them but am hesitant to post them b/c...well, lets just say, they really are cute in their birthday suits! :)

Tea Party Hat

Okay, so no fabric today. But I did make a very cute tea party hat for my little lulu. I just grabbed some leftover flowers I had (some from the wreath) and started gluing away. It looks just darling on her. But she WOULD NOT let me take a picture of her! So here it just the hat itself.

I will try again tomorrow for a photo of her in it.

Fun Summer Wreath

So I have been on a crafty-let's get things done-get it out of my house-I want pretty-lot's of pretty mood lately. After making my memo board yesterday it kind of inspired me to (finally) do something with my grapevine wreath (that I've had since last summer-yard sale find!).

So here is what I started with:

Those flowers, ya, I have had those for about two and a half years now. I got them at a local antique store that was going out of business-$.75 for each one! They are just so beautiful that I was saving them for a special occasion. I just had to let go and use them on something! And that pip berry wreath at Goodwill for $2. You heard me right, TWO dollars! :)

Here are all those beautiful pieces in their full glory:

This didn't exactly turn out how I had envisioned, but I still like it. And it looks so pretty on my front door, which really needs to be re-painted. That's it for today. I can't wait to see what tomorrow will bring. Maybe something with fabric, who knows. Oh, and while I was crafting, the children were enjoying our 73 degree weather!
